As our ecosystems insidiously degrade around us and the variety of flora and fauna decline, it seems important to record the feelings we have about this in some way. For me, the way that every creature lives within it’s own environment, adapting to changes without causing harm or toxicity, is a wonder. My work seeks to describe the tensions and dynamic pulses that weave through land and sea, as they envelop the birds and animals that move through the seasons. In gathering patterns seen in wings and water, rock and scales, I search for ways to reveal those progressions.
