Bryan Angus

Born in Aberdeen in 1959 Bryan made art from an early age. He went to Gray’s School of Art in Aberdeen, where, for him at least, nothing of note creatively happened. After college he spent time in community arts, moving onto theatre design work in Edinburgh and Aberdeen. After that he worked as an Arts Administrator managing festivals, a theatre company, and arts centre and in the late 90’s he became an Arts Officer for Bristol City Council. In 2002 with ihs wife Carla he set up the Creative Retreat in Gardendenstown on the Banffshire Coast, an art holiday and residence centre. During that time he began to make art again and by 2010 was exhibiting his paintings and pastels. Bryan started printmaking in late 2012. His work is in private collections around the world., which he still finds surprising.
